Hodgkinson - ‘one of the best’

Hodgkinson's is one of the best companies in the whole of Derbyshire - and that's official!

It was chosen as one of three finalists in this year's Derbyshire Chamber 2010 ‘Business of the Year’ competition and judges later confirmed that it missed out on the top honour by ‘just a whisker’.

The awards were announced at a black tie gala dinner at the Round House in Derby when television personality Kay Alexander praised the ‘terrific achievement of all finalists’ and said: “Derbyshire should be very proud of the inspirational people it has in the county”.

Managing director Ian Hodgkinson later said that the honour of reaching the finals of Derbyshire's most prestigious business competition had to be shared with every member of the Hodgkinson team.

In last year's Chamber competition, Ian was voted Derbyshire Entrepreneur of the Year.

And yet another...

Just a few days after their success in the Chamber competition, it was announced that Hodgkinson's had won a top award from construction industry giant Willmott Dixon for the quality of its work during the past 12 months. Two projects were singled out for special praise - Nottingham Prison and Belvoir High School. “This further recognises the high standard of services we provide”, said Ian.
